The 2009 Minnesota Legislature convened Jan 6. Legislators are set to discuss passage of the California Low Emissions Vehicle (CA-LEV) bill again. This bill is also known as the "Clean Car" bill, a misleading name for CALEV. How Can I Take Action?

Yes! Clean air is important to everyone--even to people who drive trucks and minivans.

Contact your legislators and tell them the "Clean Car" bill will not make the air any cleaner, but it will mean restricted choices for Minnesotans and higher costs. Vehicle emissions should be regulated on a national level, giving automakers one clear goal for emissions reductions.
